The development of Jabel Ali Port has minimised the importance of Dubai Creek though Port Saeed still exist along the creek to provide the trading facilities in the region and in the subcontinent. The other attractions in Dubai Creek are the dhow cruise, offers fabulous sightseeing facilities around the Dubai Creek area and water taxis used as a mean of transportation to connect Bur Dubai and Deira.
All the way your guide will points out the most popular and fascinating site Dubai Museum, located in the Al Fahidi Fort and is the only existing oldest building in Dubai. The Dubai Museum was built on 1787 AD and opened for public and visitors in 1971 AD. The Dubai Museum presents all the traditions, life style; local antiquities and artefacts in used in ancient Dubai and have reflected numerous dioramas showing the daily life and trade in the city before the discovery of oil. Once you entered the gallery you will be amazed with the presentation of ancient shops filled with craftsmen, vendors, buyers, a carpenter, an iron smith, a textile vendor and other life styles reflected with realistic sounds and life size videos. In the other side of Museum you have an exposure to the largest diorama reflecting the huge scene of the building of a dhow, scenes of marine life and seafaring equipment. The most interesting part of the museum is the presentation of dioramas with the sounds, visual effects and electronic guides, proof to be an unforgettable and memorable experience of life time.
Your city tour continues towards the popular Dubai Gold Souk & Spice Souk(optional), a traditional market located in the Deira. To reach the traditional market you can use the Abra (Water Taxi) from Bur Dubai or use the same guided vehicle that you have been provided by your tour operator. The souk market comprises over 300 retailers that trade jewellery and also plays vital role on Dubai´s financial system. It is said that India is the largest buyer of gold and Switzerland is the largest supplier. The Gold Souk market can present minimum of 10 tonnes of gold at any given time and has sold around 7.5 tonnes of gold in different ways during the Dubai Shopping Festival in Jan-Feb. The Spice Souk is adjacent to the Gold Souk, offers variety of fragrances, spices, shisha and many herbs used in Arabic and South Asian cuisines.
Along the Sheikh Zayed Road you will see the world´s tallest building Burj Khalifa along with other skyscrapers, the other fascinating part of Dubai. After few minutes´ drive on Sheikh Zayed Road set along the Burj Al Arab, the most luxurious hotels in the World and Jumeirah Beach and take some memorable photos of the surrounding. You will now head towards Madinat Jumeirah, a luxurious 5 star resort located just 1 km of private beachfront adjacent to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab and Wild Wadi Water Park. You have an exposure to the Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski resort and snow park in Middle East. Take some memorable photos with friends and family from outside of the snow park and travel towards the largest shopping mall in the World, Dubai Mall. Dubai mall is the largest mall based on total area and 14th largest mall in the world by gross leasable area, comprises over 1200 retail shops and outlets. The Dubai mall has total internal floor area of 5.9 million square feet (55ha), boasts Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice Rink, SEGA Republic, 250 rooms luxury hotel, 22 cinema halls, 120 restaurants and cafe, 14000 car parking spaces. The Dubai mall is the entrance for the world´s tallest building, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. You have an opportunity to oversee Burj Khalifa building and Dubai fountain, there will be plenty of opportunities for photos and we advise you to visit the Dubai Fountain, the world´s largest dancing fountain during the evening to see the magnificent views.
